On the longest day of the year, June 21st, 2025, as the sun reaches its zenith above the Adriatic coast, BP Event: Summer Solstice becomes more than a celebration of beauty, design, and luxury. It becomes a stage for a singular creative mind – Sandro Užila – an architect, designer, and artist who transforms space into experience and form into emotion.
Sketches of becoming: from play to precision
In the quiet of Istria, a designer emerged who draws as if guiding a football through space – with feeling, precision, and passion.
“I’ve spent my whole life drawing and playing football – I still do, only the priorities have shifted.” says Užila.
That primal urge to play and create led him from geodesy and construction to architecture and 3D visualization – educated in Italy, shaped by its language, style, and sensibility.
His Italian DNA is not just an aesthetic code – it’s a way of thinking, a constant pursuit of elegance with purpose.
No repeats: a tradition of the one-of-a-kind
In Sandro Užila’s world, WAVE Design Studio is not merely an office – it is a wave that travels the globe, bringing a new interpretation of space.
His aesthetic transcends trends: at Delmonico’s in New York, he fuses classic American elegance with European refinement, while Casa Rea, in the village of Circoti, breathes in harmony with local tradition.
Everything he creates is rooted in the belief that technology should serve the idea, not the other way around.
“I hate doing the same thing twice.” he admits candidly – and it is precisely this obsession with originality that leads him to solutions that are truly one of a kind.
Silent sophistication: the luxury of line, light and belonging
For Sandro Užila, luxury is not about opulence – it is quiet sophistication, felt only when you pause. To him, space is not merely beautiful – it breathes, listens, and tells a story.
Restaurant Konoba Ćakula in Poreč stands as proof of his ability to tell complex stories through simple lines – stories of place, time, and people.
Luxury lies in the details: in the line that leads the eye, in the light that glides across the material, in the feeling that you’ve arrived somewhere you belong, even if it’s your first time there.
Užila doesn’t create spaces to be observed – he creates spaces to be remembered.

A stage for memory: when design becomes experience
BP Event: Summer Solstice marks Sandro Užila’s first event project – and it already promises to exceed all expectations.
“I want to create something unique and striking, something people will remember… because the design elements will also be things they can interact with and use to create new memories.”
The central challenge – designing a space that merges a Mediterranean setting with the modern lines of the new bathroom collection by Mariner and Tonino Lamborghini – was something Užila embraced as a natural extension of his philosophy.
“Since I love challenges and creating new things, it wasn’t a problem,” he adds with a smile.
On the longest day of the year, Sandro Užila will unveil a space that doesn’t just enchant visually – it invites play, interaction, and memory-making.
BP Event: Summer Solstice 2025 will be his stage – and his creation.
